canvas // handpainted

Fresh!Food!Home!

I love lime green + dark brown. I think its such a fresh colour concept. It will be the theme for our new home inshallah. Currently, I have just finished painting a set of 3 canvasses (30 x 30cm), using acrylic water based paints. I have no idea where I’m going to hang it yet but at least I know I have something, handmade. And I know that had I not made it or plan to make it once bub arrives, it will never happen. Or at least for the first 6 months. Simply because, my baby quilt patchwork that I have been wanting to make ever since I found out I was pregnant, (the cut fabrics) are still sitting in the drawer. I blame it on the morning sickness.

bombonniere // east meets west

Bomboniere

This post is part of this event. ‘East meets West’ was the theme. The bride is a Malaysian and the groom is a true blue Aussie. A revert mashallah! This bomboniere casing is an authentic Malay ‘Songket’ material and the gift itself is a Partylite candle, which by the way, smells absolutely amazing (both bought by the bride herself). I designed the wedding tags inspired by the Malaysian/Indonesian ‘Batik‘ and we (my sis and I) packaged them off in some lovely organza material. This makes a sweet little door gift.
